trendy clothes

I guess I was about 9 years old when I decided that I wanted to wear trendy clothes like one of my big sisters; she just had to have trendy clothes that would fit in with the crowd she hung out with!  She had gone away for a Rock Festival in California; so I decided that I would borrow some of her trendy clothes and look like a big shot!
My other sister and I got all dressed up and went to the Mall.
 
When we returned home, much to our surprise, my big sister had come home early from her concert!  Wow!  I got into so much trouble!  I tried to explain how I just wanted to borrow her trendy clothes to fit in and look sharp, but she was seriously upset; she began to swat me with a hair brush and she screamed at me to take her clothes off!  I never borrowed any of her trendy clothes again!

I'm not as concerned about wearing trendy clothes as I was when I was younger, I still love to dress in some of the trendy clothes, but they can be quite expensive, so I generally only buy one or two outfits that can be interchanged.
