Trendy Clothes are great in moderation |

If you're like me and you don't go clothes shopping that often, then buying trendy clothes should be done in moderation. I have always bought classical pieces of clothes, things that I could easily mix and match to make many outfits. These clothes need to last me for a few years, at least, because shopping for new clothes is fun and I do enjoy it, I just don't have the money to do it that often. So instead I make the most of it.
However, I do pick up a few pieces of trendy clothes to compliment my wardrobe, usually just one or two pieces. She says having bought yet another tunic over the weekend. What does that make this latest one, four? At any rate, it seems like some trendy clothes are staying in style longer than they used to. Then there are the trendy clothes that should have stayed dead, like the day glo things in the '80s. My friends and I were out Saturday and went to a rather trendy clothes store for teens/early 20s. We were all a year apart from each other, and we could not get over how many 80s prints and clothes were back in style. Talk about bad trendy clothes. I saw a shirt that was hot pink with black tiger strips. I kid you not! I'll spare you the rest of what we saw in that store. It was funny though, seeing all those trendy clothes we wore in the 80s. And yes, it did make us feel very old.
I think what was funnier was the dress I found in the store before it. I wandered away from my friend for a moment to help her look for clothes. I saw this long dress on a rack and immediately thought "Mrs. Roper", the print and colors of the print were exactly like the dresses she wore! I laughed and snatched it off the rack, practically running to show it to my friend, laughing the entire way. I passed a woman who had to have been younger than us and she kept saying "cute dress". I had to stop laughing long enough to point out where I found it. Of course, as soon as I managed to get the words out, I was back to laughing and on my way to my friend. Before I could stop laughing my friend looked at the dress and said "Mrs. Roper". It took me another minute to stop laughing long enough to tell her what just happened and that I said the same thing as her when I saw the dress.
